02 Istanbul on My Mind

As an Istanbulite, I aimed to bring a unique insider’s perspective, capturing the city in its most candid and unfiltered form. This series is a love letter to Istanbul’s unnoticed nooks and crannies — the places where life unfolds quietly, away from the gaze of tourists. It’s about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, and the profound in the ephemeral, through a lens that sees the city not as a spectacle, but as a home.

03 How can you be sure?

The series is inspired by the subtle, often overlooked remnants of the past — from decaying places to neglected belongings, and from fleeting moments to abandoned spaces. It encourages viewers to find meaning in the ephemeral and to embrace the transient moments that define our existence.

04 Rupture

"Rupture" is an evocative photographic series, rendered in 35mm black and white film, that intricately documents a solitary retreat on Büyükada. (one of Princes’ Islands) Conceived initially as a personal escape, this journey serendipitously transformed into an artistic exploration. Through stark, monochromatic imagery, the series interrogates themes of isolation and introspection, serving as a visual metaphor for the silent ruptures within the human psyche.
